this years dowra

salaams

the dowra is over but we still havent heard from the dowra students. any i'lm or nasiha that you can share with the rest of us.

I will tell about what was the biggest eye opener for me.

The poem by imam Haddad that was explained during the rowha. I think if im not mistaken it was under the letter "Ba" of his diwan. where he cries over time departed. imagine the imam crying over time waisted I we all know what type of person he was. he cried over time but he as a child would walk to masjid Ba Alawi & perform 100 nafil rakats on his days off from quran school. & remember he was blind & the distance between his home & the masjid. What about when he grew older.....

How much time should we cry over........??? he realy understood the reality of the akhira

i wasnt a dowra student so I diding attend all the lessons I just attended the Rowha mainly.

they supply everything. live translation is over the radio, even now the maulids are translated over the radio. there is a bro that made his own copies , I will try to find out but I dont know if they were translated or not. he has a full series of Habib Ali & Habib Umar. this year the students could even experience the trip to Nabi Hud AS as the tarims do.

Salaams, first of all Just want to say..May Allah subhanahu wata ala elavate the sister and her family in Jannatul Firdous and forgive them.

I also went for the Dowra in summer 2009. and Alhamdulillah what a blessed experience. have a question if anyone can answer... is it possible for a person with an Indian passport to study in Tarim? will he be able to get a visa? as i know a brother who wants to and he is currently in al- azhar. JazakAllah.

also would like to add, how about a malawi passport? can that person come straight from malawi to study in tarim?

it shouldnt be a problem for indian students 6 alims from india just 2 months back or so & they dont have & didnt have any problems. its best to check with the authorities though. for malawi well maybe the best would be to find out if they have an embassy if not then contact tanzanian students for better info.
